Meet the celebrity who, rather than Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rupali Ganguly, or Hina Khan, made more Rs 2000 crore on television

One of Bollywood’s greatest actors, Aamir Khan, made his television debut with the blockbuster program “Satyamev Jayate,” which was well-liked both for its substance and its viewership. Aamir Khan received the concept for a movie that would go on to become an all-time blockbuster in Indian cinema when he was presenting “Satyamev Jayate.”

Aamir Khan brought two females to the program in 2014 while hosting the third season of “Satyamev Jayate.” The girls were not well-known at the time. While telling the audience the ladies’ narrative, Aamir Khan also discussed their challenges and how they overcame them to make history. Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat were wrestlers, and Aamir Khan introduced them. The lives of Geeta and Babita Phogat are the basis for the movie Dangal.

The anecdotes that Aamir Khan heard from Geeta and Babita Phogat during the one-hour episode of “Satyamev Jayate” inspired him to write “Dangal,” a movie that made history in Bollywood in 2016.

In the film “Dangal,” Aamir Khan plays amateur wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, a pehlwani, who develops Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari into the first two world-class female wrestlers from India.

With a staggering lifetime earnings of Rs 2,024 crore, “Dangal” continues to be the highest-grossing Indian movie. It would thus be accurate to state that Aamir Khan has made over Rs 2000 crore from television, given that it was during the filming of “Satyamev Jayate” on television that he had the inspiration for this hugely successful movie.
