Exams Anti-Cheating Bill Gets An Adultery Spin from Kangana Ranaut: “Sexual Intercourse Should…”

The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, 2024, which aims to prevent unethical actions in public examinations such as question paper leaks and document tampering, was adopted by the Lok Sabha two weeks ago. Union minister Jitendra Singh explained that while the law imposes fines exceeding Rs 1 crore and prison terms of up to 10 years for individuals engaged in such misbehavior, it does not apply to students. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has responded to it, but she has framed it in terms of a romantic connection, even though the bill’s main goal is to stop people from cheating on public tests.

She responded to a false link stating that infidelity in partnerships is now prohibited in India on Instagram Stories. “I further request this government to ban polygamy and casual hook-ups, and to mandate that a man who abandons a woman after a prolonged dating relationship pay for her maintenance and alimony,” the lady wrote. Additionally, sexual interactions with other students should be prohibited. Just as there should be an age limit for marriage (18–21), there should also be an age limit for sexual relationships.

There’s no point in prohibiting child marriages or setting a strict age limit for marriage if kids are going to engage in sexual activities and establish having partners in the classroom. This is especially true in large cities where having boyfriends and girlfriends in class is a common practice. It hinders kids’ mental and physical development. If there is an overwhelming need for companionship, then based on long-standing customs, permission to marry young must be ensured.

“In the age of dating and hook-up apps, behaving immoral, frivolous, inconsistent, and simply perverted has become cool,” she continued. “This was the most needed bill for the safety of young vulnerable women, who fall for the fake promises of marriage and even for the sanctity of the institution of marriage.” She said that a fine in crores and a remand in jail should fix the urge of tinder and ginger.
